We started Balanced Beast because we were tired of watching patients leave PT confused, unchanged, and out of options. There's a better way.
Symptom management is not treatment. We don't put out fires — we find why the building keeps catching. Every plan addresses the mechanism, not just the pain signal.
No aides. No handoffs. No group exercise while your PT sees three other people. Your 1-hour session is with a doctoral-level clinician, start to finish.
You should leave every session knowing more about your body than you walked in with. Understanding your problem is part of fixing it — and it prevents the next one.
Hot packs, counting to 10, generic theraband exercises — we've cut it all. Every minute of every session is purposeful, clinician-directed, and built around your specific presentation.
If we think you need imaging, a second opinion, or a different provider — we'll tell you. Our job is to get you better, not to keep you coming back.
Failed PT before? Multiple diagnoses? Nobody knows what's wrong? Those are the cases we're most interested in. We don't shy away from hard problems.

"We don't treat your diagnosis.
We treat the reason you got it."

Mark founded Balanced Beast after years of watching patients leave traditional clinics confused and unchanged. His approach centers on one thing: finding the real reason why you hurt, and building a plan that addresses it directly. He brings relentless curiosity, clear communication, and a deep conviction that every patient deserves a clinician who actually thinks.

Bindi's background in neuroscience and human movement gives her a unique lens on complex presentations — especially those involving the nervous system, chronic pain, and cases other clinicians have given up on. Patients often say they felt genuinely heard and understood for the first time in her care.

Mel spent a decade coaching athletes before she ever wrote her first plan of care — and it shows. A competitive obstacle course racer, collegiate athlete and certified strength coach turned Doctor of Physical Therapy, she treats rehab the way she treats training: purposeful, progressive, and passionate. She takes a holistic, mind-body approach to treatment, tailoring individualized programs to meet patient's specific goals while creating an environment where you feel both valued & empowered! Dr. Mel believes in leading by example, and patients leave her sessions stronger than they arrived — in every sense of the word.
"I love people and I love health and fitness — my goal is to bring the things I love together to positively change as many lives as possible. Let's get it!"
