Red Light Therapy

Natural Healing Powered by Light

What Is It?

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low-level light therapy, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support cellular energy production and natural recovery processes. These wavelengths are absorbed by mitochondria (the energy centers of your cells) where they stimulate an enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase. This can enhance the body’s ability to produce ATP, the energy currency of the cell, leading to benefits in tissue repair, reduced inflammation, and improved cellular function. It’s a non-invasive, drug-free way to support overall wellness.

What Does It Do?

Our clinical-grade device delivers five wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, penetrating both the surface and deeper tissues of the body. Unlike smaller, low-power consumer devices, our system provides full-body coverage with high light output, allowing for shorter, more effective sessions. The treatment works by energizing your cells, which can lead to downstream effects like improved tissue healing, skin clarity, joint comfort, and faster recovery from everyday stressors or activity. It’s like a cellular recharge, without the effort.

Clinical Grade Dosing

Red light therapy follows a principle known as the hormetic effect. Small, controlled doses of red light stimulate positive biological responses, but higher doses don’t always mean better results. In fact, excessive exposure can temporarily overload your system. That’s why we guide you to start slow and increase only as needed. Each session can be personalized based on your goals, using variables like distance from the panel, pulse settings, session length, and weekly frequency. With the right dose, your body does the rest.

Self Service Treatment

Your session is self-administered in a private room with easy-to-follow instructions and adjustable settings. Protective eyewear is provided and required at all times, as a precaution while research around eye exposure continues to evolve. The treatment is safe for most people, but not recommended for those who are pregnant, have a history of skin cancer, or are on photosensitizing medications. As always, consult your healthcare provider if you have any medical concerns. At Balanced Beast, your safety is our priority.
